"upcoming Devialet products"
#41
First review I've spotted with a bit more detail - couldn't see any mention of a remote control which is a bit odd.

This is really different stuff, tried the Sennheiser in the store. This one has more Also the Sonos Arc + Sub is not in reach of this one

Just FYI.. got in touch with Devialet customer service - currently, the Dione cannot be linked with Phantoms and the TV simultaneously (ie. cannot be used as one unit/two phantoms at the back for true surround effect).

Given the building blocks Devialet has in place it should be technically possible but is that really something you would want?  In discrete surround systems the front L and R units (maybe C) are usually much higher spec than the surrounds as this is where the sound of interest is coming from.  When listening to music (and assuming one is facing the band/orchestra) most of the direct and first reflected sound is coming from in front of you.  So having a Dione at the front and Phantoms at the rear could be viewed as a little bit 'bass ackwards'?

Ok, or does ist mean the Devialet has to much bass and you here more bumbumbum which is annoying after a while of listening

It is not annoying, really nice to listen to, if it’s to heavy you can turn on the nightmode

You can create surround using airplay, although it’s Apple bounded

How do you do that? Can you route the Dolby Atmos channels to the speakers you'd like?
