I'm only on my 4th day into the Devialet 200 but had this issue since right outta-the-box. (I transposed the problem in thread title) Right channel plays 16-20% louder than left at "0" balance setting. Of course the quick fix is to simply dial it out via remote but since it wasn't there before the Devialet, today I went looking. Swapped speaker cables left-to-right and end-for-end... no difference. Swapped speakers left-to-right... same thing. I'm running standard 7.1.2 firmware with no adds, deletes or config changes... straight plug-n-play setup. Easy to remedy of course but doesn't seem right. Any ideas/recommendations? Otherwise everything's great and I feel a bit guilty even bringing it up compared to so many other more dramatic issues some are having.

TIA!
Is this happening with all sources or only with Phono input?

Digital in #1 or #2. Sonos set to equalizer (centered) or fixed volume. No other inputs are used. Tested with multiple S/PDIF coax cables. Haven't tried Toslink yet but may tomorrow for curiosity sake tho I much prefer coax for this component.
in the speaker setup every channel has it's own volume adjustment. Have you checked if this is set to 0 db for both channels ?
Does the Sonos have a balance that is not correctly set ?
If you have one, try another source just to make sure it's not from your Sonos. And if it's not; Don't muck around and get your dealer to replace it.
I no longer have another source but when I add Sonos back to my previous system everything is perfectly balanced left-to-right via either setting the Sonos equalizer to 'center' or when not running the equalizer and setting Sonos volume to 'fixed.' On the Devialet however both these settings result in a 16-20% higher bias to right speaker (or perhaps its 16-20% lower bias to left speaker?). System is only 5 days old today so I'd prefer to find a work-around beyond manual balance biasing but will certainly be on the horn to the dealer if I can't find the cause and fix it within a day or two.
Today or tomorrow I find out if Devialet will require me to send my 200 back for repair or if they'll simply send me a replacement unit and a call tag for the malfunctioning unit. As I mentioned at the beginning of this thread my unit showed up with a 4% louder bias from the right speaker right outta the box. After swapping speakers, speaker cables etc the balance issue remained. Swapped my old system back in and problem vanished and perfect balance was regained. Putting the 200 back online it continued to decline in balance at a rate of about 4% per day. Today when I turn it on if set to "0" balance it may be 20-30% louder from right speaker and seems to have stabilized there. Some days I have to dial in a 20% higher left bias and other days its 30-34% higher. It hasn't climbed higher than a 34% higher R bias... yet. And strangely enough sometimes it'll drop in the middle of a listening session from ~30% back down to ~20%. It somehow likes to be at/near a 20% R speaker balance reduction.

BTW speakers are balanced properly within the Devialet configuration and Sonos is balanced when using adjustable volume as well as when its set to 'fixed' volume. And balance centers perfectly when old system replaces Devialet. Other than the balance issue the SQ is as good as I've ever owned... nay BETTER!

Its taken 10 days for me to get this far with the Canadian dealer who reports that Devialet wants to handle warranty issues from them assuming the Canadian market back from distributors and of course I'm stuck in the middle. And I feel entitled to receive a free replacement since this problem was there and obvious within 10 hours of receiving the unit from UPS. I've got a strong hunch Devialet is going to want me to pay for shipping and return this unit from my home in the US to Canada for their usual 4-6 week or perhaps longer repair period. My contention is since I've never had a proper working unit they should send me a free replacement and a UPS or FedEx call tag for the old unit.

Am I being unreasonable?
They should absolutely send you a new replacement unit! It would be simply easier for them to do that as well and send the faulty one back, wouldn't it? It's essentially a DOA unit so Devialet's responsibility regardless of whether it's the retailer or Devialet handling the replacement.
I had one listening session where the soundstage was all messed up and there was a distortion in the top octave. I reloaded the FW (8.0.0) and config files off the Dev website and reinstalled them on my D400s.

Problem solved. It has never happened again.

If you haven't gone this route, you might want to give it a try before swapping out units.

I've loaded 7.1.3 three times and reverted to 7.1.2 three times. I've also reconfigured 4 times. The balance issue remains constant and unaffected. Maybe 5th or 6th times the charm? Doubtful but even if it worked after this many efforts I'd remain convinced 'something' isn't working correctly or as designed internally.
