I thought that this was the most obvious thing to do, but Devialet disappointed me. Why do they not mirror the unit's display in the iPad app? My unit sits rather low in the rack and every time I want to adjust something or monitor the temperatures I have to get up, put on my reading glasses, look at the display and then get back to my chair.

It should be an easy thing to transmit the contents of the display to the app.
The display on the unit is stylish but not much use! With my eyesight I can just about make out the difference between on and standby. There's a little pinpoint of light that shines downwards too ( on the 200 at least) that is quite useful.
Should be a nobrainer for devialet ? However at the high end show they denied to have this on the roadmap.
Similarly, glaringly missing is the ability to mirror the iPad/iPhone's ability to switch sources, control volume and tune unit on/off from the Mac app.

All one can do from the computer App is to activate and deactivate Air. Why do I need 3 devices (Devialet Control, iPad, Computer) to full control the Devialet?

Ideally:

- the huge Devialet remote should have its own display to see everything

- the iPad should do everything that the Devialet remote can do, and display everything that is on the Devialet display

- the computer should mirror everything that the above two can perform and display

Not Rocket science, but would surely complete the feeling of incompleteness of the whole chain.
I believe in next gen all this will become a reality Smile

Couldn't agree more! The remote was the biggest disappointment when i firt purchased the Dev. I expected the large remote to have a display in the middle of the 'wheel' to mirror the display on the unit.

Agree also that the mac app should be the same as the ipad/iphone app and also that the apps should do the same as the remote. Not all functions from the remote are on the app which is silly.
Devialet add this ability to the Phantoms .
I hope they will create one for the legacy product ... and they will give us the option to purchase it
I agreed totally that a mirror display should be implemented for iPad/iPhone and the remote, too. I guess it's human nature to look at the volume level during setting. I'm trying another approach: just tune the volume to my preferred level and not bother about the display. I guess this will just be a habitual behaviour.
