I don't think they are that cynical and have great respect for their products and intentions but this disarray is maddening. Seems to me that they are overwhelmed and disorganized. One hand sending out emails to hurry up and place your order and the other telling you that you'll have to wait without anyone having any idea about a timeline for the waiting period. These are expensive products and we represent a reasonably elite customer base if viewed from a spending demographic so this obligates them to speak accurately and clearly. Who has been able to speak directly to anyone other than an earnest but uninformed customer care rep?

Warren - we are in the land of the weird. The box I was supposed to receive from Devialet back around the 7th/8th of November is being delivered today. The D440s are supposed to be delivered today, however unlike the box, it only looks like the box made it out of Louisville yesterday.

Warren - we are in the land of the weird. The box I was supposed to receive from Devialet back around the 7th/8th of November is being delivered today. The D440s are supposed to be delivered today, however unlike the box, it only looks like the box made it out of Louisville yesterday.

Devialet are, if anything, refreshingly original...likely couldn't imagine it any other way.....hope the D's cross your threshold soon.
I took your advice and was in email contact with; my dealer, the Canadian national distributor for Devialet and, additionally, the New York based North American Director of Sales...all very friendly and helpful...one if not all of these contacts may have help assure the UPS docs that were sent through this morning. On the way to UPS directly.

Yes...he was just great. Unit is now in the UPS network with all three copies attached, joined UPS My Choice as was recommended on these pages and now the D's are likely off to the airport for a flight to Paris. In Canada, the Plurison group were just great, as well. They are the national Canadian distributor for Devialet among other lines as well.
If you can get them out of the country without UPS holding them up and calling you in regards to the paperwork, you are home free for Christmas (I got calls from UPS both on the export to and import from Devialet, had to provide my SS#).
Expect about 7 business days to upgrade once they are received by Devialet.
Off to eat some Korean food...
