I have configured my 440 exactly the way as my 400, creating new files from scratch . There is a problem though: I have no Pre-out from my slave. I've been through everything, but the problem still persists. When I put in the configuration SDs from my 400, I have the output!
Please see my config below. I've raised a ticket with Devialet.

Any help appreciated.

If you change to the normal connection between the units using the supplied cable does it work? I've no reason to think it would work btw.
The name on the pre-out is grey rather than black. Somewhere in the config you're not telling the D to use the output. I've tried to do the same in a config but haven't been able to.

Keep looking. it's the config I'm sure.
Maybe open both your 400 and 440 configs on seperate tabs and go through them one step at a time.
I find using a diff tool like Beyond Compare or Araxis Merge can be very helpful to track what's changed between configuration files.  That's helped me fix a few peculiar problems before now.
Very odd the Preout is greyed out, what happens if you click it, does it offer you the config for the preout?

There is no difference between the text files, I've looked at all instances of "Preout" and they match.

Edit: just double checked this with File Merge. Same result.
@ Soniclife and Pim,
That must have been a dodgy screen grab. On my monitor, the Preout is active and I can change settings. The only thing you have to look out for is when you look into Preout settings, the "mute applies to this output" goes back to being selected i.e. ticked, and I have to un-tick it.

Thanks for your help guys. I'll keep looking.
All inputs set under special modes to sub / preout enabled?

Is this problem similar to your previous problem (one channel only working) in that it worked before and decided to stop without you changing anything? If so, I suggest to strongly push Devialet for new internals. Who knows what's next?
