It's about €10 on eBay, Amazon or similar. If you use the speakers as normal, and the speakers are set up as a pair in the Devialet app, a toslink connection to the one of the speakers is sufficient. The speakers will sort out the rest by themselves. You'll get a minimum of 60 ms latency in normal mode. In optical direct mode it's about 1 ms.Another connection question from an audio noob for optical direct mode; RE: Phantoms for gaming and TV setup - ragwo - 12-Mar-2021 (11-Mar-2021, 23:54)Erwinh Wrote:(09-Mar-2021, 08:00)ragwo Wrote:Would be nice but I have the original Silver Phantoms, 5 years old, no DOS installed. You'll need an IPhone and the Phantom app, not Spark. 1: launch Phantom app (not Spark) 2: restart Phantom (3 clicks) 3: pair Phantom with app 4: on app, tap ten times between “mute” and “night” icons 5: select Optical Direct mode 6: select channel (L/R/mix) 7: select max. output level 0dB/-12dB I haven't tried this "recipe" myself, but it should work. Are your speakers too old for the DOS2 update? A bit afraid to disturb the perfect working situation. I believe the change to DOS1 is not without its problems? Is direct optical out also an option in tne basic standard setup with the dialog? I have migrated to DOS2 without any problems and can wholeheartedly recommend it. DOS 2.12.5 has been dead stable for me. There’s No restart in the app - I’m guessing click on the back of speaker button 3x?!? Number 4: there isn’t a mute button in the app. Also once it’s done how do you undo it? Does dat make any difference, or is optical direct mode not available on the old Phantoms? First, are you using the old Phantom app in iOS and are you on DOS1? Three clicks on the back is correct. If you reset the speaker with three clicks and perform a new setup everything is back to normal.
