But while ETH is working, if i switch to WIFI on my macbook, we need to identify on Roon to press pause-play again (dont remember). Basically, find the zone on Roon again and stream again and it works just fine. RE: ROON - GuillaumeB - 30-Jun-2016 Been having some strange behaviour with Roon lately. Just before I post on the Roon forum I just thought I'd check on here first. Yesterday I noticed the music stopped a few times and I was getting the odd very short dropout. I noticed in the Roon app on my desktop that I had a spinning wheel at the top right of the screen: Clicking on this showed: So basically it looked as though it was scanning my whole library again. The only thing that I can think of is that I uploaded a new album a day earlier or something otherwise no changes. I went into the sonicTransporter app and clicked "Restart Roon Server" thinking that might help. I also rebooted the SonicTransporter. When everything was back online I selected some music and pressed play. I was out all evening and when I returned the music was still playing. I left it playing overnight, still ok this am. Then about an hour ago I went into the Roon app on my Mac and it looked as though all my albums were now showing as newly imported. I put in quite a bit of work into merging albums and tweaking metadata, that all seems to have gone to pop. And it says I have 1200 albums when I have half that number, although when I click on the 1200 albums is says 600 at the top.... Anyone have any idea what might be going on? Guillaume RE: ROON - Antoine - 30-Jun-2016 They've released a new build about 12 hours ago, which updates the databases but I'm not sure if that's the reason. My installation of this update doesn't show this behaviour. Are you on build 147 now? https://community.roonlabs.com/t/roon-1-2-build-147-is-live/ RE: ROON - GuillaumeB - 30-Jun-2016 (30-Jun-2016, 14:33)Antoine Wrote: They've released a new build about 12 hours ago, which updates the databases but I'm not sure if that's the reason. I hope you'll figure it out with the help of another user or the Roon team. Thanks - I've emailed Andrew Gillis at Small Green Computer... what a pain!! OK Andrew Gillis very kindly logged onto my Mac using TeamViewer. He has emailed me saying that he can see where Roon reindexed my library which according to him it should not have needed to do. He has sent the logs to Roon to see if they can figure it out. In the meantime I have lost all my metadata changes and history... a real pain! Guillaume RE: ROON - Mka - 30-Jun-2016 That´s why I stopped using room after the trial period. I am to stupid to understand how I automatically write back meta data changes to the ID3 Tags. I really like to be independent from Roon/Jriver/Itunes/... and have the full control over a standardised way to store my metadata. My dream is to enrich my personal lib with room provided metadata, booklets from qobuz,.... . At the end I am a true believer in open source standards and so RAAT and Air x is suboptimal... I wrote some python scripts to distill some metadata/cover/booklets via the well documented qobuz API. (now Iam really getting OT , sorry) |
