Larry Carlton on Kid Charlemagne...!
Good choice Axel

Yeah, most of that album is good for juicy, virtuoso  guitar solos! The production on all of their releases is top notch as well.

Andy Shauf - The Party (Playing from Roon)
Great alternative singer-songwriter album for the autumn weather. Keep your wine or beer close ;-)

Ed Harcourt / Furnaces
New 2016 album and very good it is too.

Riverside "Eye of the Soundscape" (Qobuz)

Just released about ten days ago.  Has a lighter, more extended (and perhaps less focused) sound than their previous albums; I might need a few more listens to get into the feel of it.

Ian - you have an uncanny knack of finding great music by bands that I have never heard of!

Keep 'em coming, and thanks  Big Grin

Glad you like it, chaps. By the way, Rufus, Van der Graaf Generator are one of my all-time favourite bands!

I've really enjoyed discovering the other Riverside material, thanks to your posting - well worth my Tidal subscription this month! Very much influenced by Porcupine Tree, which is high praise, by the way, but The Eye of the Soundscape is much more to my tastes these days.
