RE: What album are you listening tonight? - amabrok - 21-Mar-2015 Dhafer Youssef: Malak >> CD Rip Sufi music at its best! and an excellent recording/mastering RE: What album are you listening tonight? - hk6230 - 22-Mar-2015 Jason Mraz - YES! 24/96kHz RE: What album are you listening tonight? - thumb5 - 22-Mar-2015 Screaming Blue Messiahs "Totally Religious", vinyl. Late '80s non-nonsense guitar rock, somewhere between Dr Feelgood and Motorhead, with a great sense of humour. "Martian" is just wonderful. I've had another album of theirs, "Bikini Red" (also recommended) on vinyl for many years, and just discovered this one on Qobuz. Managed to find a very nice vinyl copy and have just digitised it using the Devialet (which went very smoothly). RE: What album are you listening tonight? - EricDH - 22-Mar-2015 (21-Mar-2015, 20:16)amabrok Wrote: Very nice. Dhafer Youssef music is allways very well recorded. RE: What album are you listening tonight? - Axel - 22-Mar-2015 Buddy Whittington CD. Especially Greenwood. Blues rock RE: What album are you listening tonight? - Womaz - 22-Mar-2015 Purity Ring -- Another Eternity RE: What album are you listening tonight? - thumb5 - 22-Mar-2015 Gluck "Alceste", Monteverdi Choir, John Eliot Gardiner A great performance and lovely recording, too (IMHO). RE: What album are you listening tonight? - hk6230 - 23-Mar-2015 Acoustix 2 - Various Artistes via Spotify AIRed to Devialet RE: What album are you listening tonight? - dannyBCN - 24-Mar-2015 Sviatoslav Richter: The Complete Album Collection (RCA and Columbia) Listened to CD 2/18 (At Carnegie Hall, Oct. 19, 1960, Part I, Beethoven Nos. 3, 9 & 12) --> Ripped from box set with dBpoweramp Born 100 years ago March 20th this year. Nice homage here: http://www.npr.org/blogs/deceptivecadence/2015/03/19/393778706/sviatoslav-richter-the-pianist-who-made-the-earth-move This man is what it's all about. RE: What album are you listening tonight? - dannyBCN - 24-Mar-2015 Ella Fitzgerald - Ella Swings Lightly Ripped from CD with dBpoweramp For me, Ella and Richter are cut from the same cloth. |
