Toe in or not - davidadamson - 24-Sep-2015 Any thoughts on this with Phantom ? I usually toe in to my listening position what do other users think Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Toe in or not - sleach - 25-Sep-2015 They are comparatively omnidirectional so it is less crucial, but I actually ended up with a 45 degree toe in which I found gave best imaging in my room. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk RE: Toe in or not - michirishi - 25-Sep-2015 I have them toed in for about 30degrees. This seems to work out best in my living room. RE: Toe in or not - JohnnySix - 25-Sep-2015 Depends on where I site them: if 1.5m from side walls, then straight ahead, if 0.5m from side walls, then nearly pointing at my head. RE: Toe in or not - MountainGuy - 25-Sep-2015 My guess, without actually having heard my phantoms yet as I am on an extended trip is that: 1. The dispersion is very good given the small drivers on the front. 2. Therefore one needs only a little toe in.... At least that is my guess. Every room is different. MtnGuy RE: Toe in or not - Butuz - 25-Sep-2015 I've had mine a while and I've ended up with about 12 degrees of toe in. RE: Toe in or not - nigelb001 - 25-Sep-2015 The tweeters don't emit in a narrow beam like more conventional boxes, so I wouldn't have thought anyone would need a huge toe-in. True, you don't really need much. They image quite well pretty much straight on. I move around in my room a lot and I found that a sharp toe-in so the speakers are both pointed at a spot in front of my listening 'zone' provide the most consistent and coherent stereo image.
