Any thoughts on this with Phantom ?

They are comparatively omnidirectional so it is less crucial, but I actually ended up with a 45 degree toe in which I found gave best imaging in my room.

I have them toed in for about 30degrees. This seems to work out best in my living room.

Depends on where I site them: if 1.5m from side walls, then straight ahead, if 0.5m from side walls, then nearly pointing at my head.

My guess, without actually having heard my phantoms yet as I am on an extended trip is that:

1. The dispersion is very good given the small drivers on the front.
2. Therefore one needs only a little toe in....

At least that is my guess. Every room is different.

I've had mine a while and I've ended up with about 12 degrees of toe in.

The tweeters don't emit in a narrow beam like more conventional boxes, so I wouldn't have thought anyone would need a huge toe-in.

True, you don't really need much. They image quite well pretty much straight on. I move around in my room a lot and I found that a sharp toe-in so the speakers are both pointed at a spot in front of my listening 'zone' provide the most consistent and coherent stereo image.

I put them at 2-3 degrees inward. TBH.. the music and dynamics makes me forget about anything else. Heh
