Dev. in Home Cinema Setup - markush - 08-Oct-2015 As mentioned here https://help.devialet.com/hc/en-us/articles/203402431-How-to-integrate-a-Devialet-Expert-in-a-Home-Cinema-set-up I am using a Devialet 120 in a Home Cinema Setup. Though I am somewhat anxious about running the Devialet for many hours a day when wachting movies. Is this going to be a problem in view of heat resp. durability? Another point to consider: I have also activated the bypass internal volume control (so all is done by the AV-Receiver) - but to match the volume I have to use 0 DB. Might this be stressing the Devialet a bit too much? RE: Dev. in Home Cinema Setup - rwjr44 - 08-Oct-2015 Cooler is better BUT there are some manufacturers (i.e. Pass Labs) whose equipment run very hot and sound great for decades. If Devialet engineered for high temperatures, then I think we should be okay. 60 degrees Centigrade is very hot and I wonder if the Devialet engineers tested our equipment using your scenario. Ask them. RE: Dev. in Home Cinema Setup - markush - 08-Oct-2015 I did write to the support team and will provide feedback here too. Seems many customers are concerned about the high temperatures in bypass mode and its impact on durability. |
