RE: AIR 3 Beta for Mac - Hifi_swlon - 29-Jul-2016 Is the current 'official' Mac beta the same one that was released a while ago, or a new one? Yes, I'm going to install it..... How easy was it to setup? Is there still a noticeable improvement without powering the final tplink with the JS-2? I've been thinking of trying this for a while. I'm assuming you're using the js-2 with the rendu as well? So in the optimal config for both - would you say AIR is better or equal or worse than the rendu? RE: AIR 3 Beta for Mac - PhilP - 29-Jul-2016 Has anyone else noticed an improvement in wi-fi signal strength since installing AIR 3 for Mac ? I was previously getting around -48 dBm fairly consistently but just checked and now have between -39 and -41 which is a huge improvement and very strange. I haven't changed anything else in my system/network. No one knows, exept Devialet, I gues. As they are both named 3.0. The only difference that is obvious is 11,3MB vs 11,6MB It should be a newer one after 3 months. But who knows... They've called it release canditate, so would expect it to be different yeah. RE: AIR 3 Beta for Mac - Rufus McDufus - 29-Jul-2016 They really should version the betas fully so it's clear. RE: AIR 3 Beta for Mac - canyelles - 29-Jul-2016 The beta version still had the occasional short drop out (but nothing worse than that). It would good to know whether or not this has been fixed - I am sadly away from my Dev for the next 5 weeks so cannot check it myself RE: AIR 3 Beta for Mac - Hifi_swlon - 29-Jul-2016 (29-Jul-2016, 12:16)Nightmare Wrote:(29-Jul-2016, 10:47)Hifi_swlon Wrote: Is the current 'official' Mac beta the same one that was released a while ago, or a new one? I went from -46dBm to -48dBm, not much of a difference, but going in the wrong direction. I very seldom have White Noise, but consistently AIR just stops. I have to click on the Devialet symbol (that has went grey instead of black) and has dropped of the WiFi (I have D-Premiers so only have WiFi option). AIR3 sounds great, but it keeps stopping after 20 -30 minutes (or thereabouts) and when clicking on it again only 1 in 50 starts again. What a pain in the %^#@ as it sounds really good when working. RE: AIR 3 Beta for Mac - CptHaddock - 29-Jul-2016 Wow - the release candidate is actually working problem free for me over Ethernet. 45+ minutes, no drop outs, no app lockup no issues or problems to report. My WiFi signal strength also seems to have improved from -48 to -44. I'll look forward to comparing Ethernet, WiFi and my Aries mini over the coming week, but if things continue this way I'll be far more inclined to consider springing for the upgrade. What a nice start to the weekend! |
