0 Watt Phantom - Sortland84 - 26-Oct-2016

One of my Devialet Silver phantoms just died.

Was playing music at normal volume(40)and then the left one was gone. The right one works as normal.

Did a factory reset but only finds my right speaker. The left one also feels cold, no electricity, tested the power cord and that works fine, but the phantom seems dead.

After contact with devialet, they say this:

It seems that your Phantom has encountered a well known problem which is called "0 Watt Phantom".

Looks like im getting a new one.

Anyone experienced this with there phantom?

They actually said that? Well their honesty is refreshing I suppose!

I had that. They have replaced that Phantom.

Must say the customer service so far has been very good. Maybe i was lucky with my contact at devialet Smile

He did say that the "0 watt phantom" could happen from not upgrading the software.

But it looks like dmitrek, im also getting a new one. Mine was 1 year old, and no issues befor this happend.

My concern is that these issues happen after the warranty period.

I'm actually impressed with the honesty. It's straightforward and no messing - 'it's a known problem, we're sending a replacement'

If only they were that honest and helpful with the noisy 'chattering' PSUs of the Expert 200's.

Update on what happend.

After some communication with both devialet and the store wich i bought it, they quickly sendt me a new one.

Realy happy with the customer service from both Devialet and Stereofil here i norway.

So now i'm enjoying my silver phantoms in stereo again ☺️

I have the same experience with both Devialet and SteReoFil, excellent service from both parts.
