I've read a few times on this forum that one can order toslink-only pro Phantoms that have no lag.
Given that the lag is caused by DSP in the normal Phantoms, how is the sound different in the special pro models? Do we know which DSP has been removed? Since we have toslink available to us on the normal Phantom, why can't this be fixed via word clocks and realtime audio servers like Jack-dbus?
