Regarding audiophile fuses blowing faster, yes some do with large inrush currents. I actually described this happening to a HiFi Tuning ‘Supreme 3’ fuse installed in my SR7 here back in 2016: https://devialetchat.com/Thread-Antoine-s-system?pid=47558#pid47558

After consulting Paul Hynes I upped the fuse rating from 3.15A to 5A which Paul deemed safe. Though I did not put a HiFi Tuning fuse back but a Synergistic Black since I was so amazed by what it did in my P3. This fuse has been fine since, so over three years now, same for the one installed in the P3. These Synergistic Research fuses are expensive but among the best out there (some do prefer the even more expensive Audio Magic Beeswax fuses though) so if you can and want I’d try them. Smile

Hello, one of my friends has had a very good experience with Silent Wire. Never had problems with premature burn or oxidation!
Also worth trying! Rolleyes

Thanks for sharing @K4680 , unfortunately I still have an old fashioned electrical installation using these big ceramic fuses (Diazed)  Smile

@Antoine AHP have fuses that they call Neozed but the one that is for E27 is as I get it the same as a Diazed GII size (the threads on the fuse holder is called E27 the same as the E27 on lightbulbs).

I use this AHP fuseholder as I have a new panel with MCB fuses. It has 14x51mm fuses.

@octaviars Thanks for the tip. Currently I have a HiFi Tuning Diazed fuse installed so I’m covered for now but I may later look into it again. I’ve also been thinking to update the electrical installation in my house but there’s no real need yet for it today so perhaps in the future when I need additional capacity or an extra dedicated spur perhaps. Smile

They're great fuses. When they blow you can just pick a bit of aluminium foil from your hat and wrap it around them and re-use them.  Big Grin
BTW, just kidding.

Big Grin Hi Pim, you wouldn't be the first one to burn down the house!! Big Grin

This is what comes out of it! A somewhat old educational film, but the effect remains the same !! Angel

It’s a new spec, recently released. Their previous ‘best’ was the Blue and before that the Black of which I own two. I remember being ‘gobsmacked’ with what these tiny, thin 20mm pieces of wire did in my system. The difference between the Blue compared to Orange is seemingly greater than Black to Blue (which I ‘skipped’) so I can’t wait to replace the two Blacks. One is in my PS Audio Powerplant P3 and the other in my Hynes SR7 PSU. Perhaps I’ll install a black or orange one in my SR4 as I’ll have one Orange and two Blacks without a job.

Now I’ll first have to wait for them since because of the special deal their stock got plundered. Wink

I use a PS Audio P12 & have HiFi-Tuning Classic Gold fuse on that. I also have a self-built DIY LPSU @ 19V DC with Choke filtering for my Roon Nucleus & that LPSU is also on HiFi-Tuning Classic Gold.

I too am tempted to try the SR Orange but I am in a mystery between SR Orange vs. HiFi-Tuning Supreme Cu. Awaiting your impressions on the SR Orange. Thank you !
