would love to see an all in one solution for home theater to replace my processor and 100lb 5 channel amp
seems like an untapped market. AVRs that actually sound good.
any chance they are working on this?

Idea's:
A. "Cheap": Oppo 203 and vanity 8 channel digital out (see Oppo JVB audio) into 7 Devialet Phantoms Gold
or
B. "The best: Oppo 203&vanity 8 channel into Devialet Expert Pro into Quad full range electrostatics (see Quad.uk) in surround with very high quality sub
That doesn't sound good; there is no better, but you need room, 4 Devialets Pro and that's costly. The 205 does not have the digital option of 4 x 2 channels (yet?); I hear the
the analog output is much worse compared to the Devialet DAC and digital (7.1!!!) input.
or
C. Wait until Devialet will couple the expert Pro with the Phantoms in surround. When? Don't know, but it will come.
or
D. Very very new and available spring 2018: Oppo 205 into Smyth Realizer a16 ($2.000 plus taxes) into
1. Stax 007 tube-amp into Stax SR009 electrostatic headphone,
or
2. Devialet Pro into shielded loudspeaker cable (techflex.com; do it yourself) into Woowee audio converter ($499) into Stax SR009 headphone.
Brand new: surround sound into a stereo headphone: really..... look on the internet. From Ireland and you don't believe it.
