No, it's the lead singer of Daft Punk, who appears to have met a rather unfortunate fate.....

Well you did not miss too much at the MOC show - the usual suspects generally playing unrecognisable music at the wrong volumes in cardboard rooms. With a few exceptions.

Whereas at the DeLuxe show at the Marriott just the opposite. Great noises from TotalDac and Alsyvox (though not as much of a surprise as last year) and a few new emerging brands. Not a Devialet in sight.

Did you check out the Grimm room? I'm very curious about the new MU-1 streamer.

You mean this?  Wink

Yes I checked out the room spending 10-15 mins in there. Given the relatively small size of the speaker units this largish room was filled with very pleasant sounds. Pretty impressive actually!

Out of interest, did anyone get to hear the new(ish) PMC Fenestria? I thought they looked quite interesting, until I discovered that they are £45,000.....

I asked on the Roon Labs Community, but it’s a one off and not going into production.  Shame.

Hi Axel, have spoken today with a galvanizer to check if you can chrome an original nucleus. He thinks that should work! Only the question remains whether the heat dissipation still works? Let's see what happens. Shy

RE: Munich 2019 - Jean-Marie - 14-May-2019

If I’m reading correctly, the thermal conductivity of steel is around 50 W.m-1.K-1 while chrome is only 23 W.m-1.K-1.

So quite different!
