I thought that true multitasking was not possible under IOS by design. Apple allows you to switch between Apps but that is not the same as multitasking where the app stays active in the background. Safari behaves the same way on an iPad; when you switch back to it the page is reloaded. I do agree this aspect is a bit tedious..... -=Aurender=- - amabrok - 31-May-2015 (31-May-2015, 20:48)krass Wrote:(31-May-2015, 19:21)Stigmater Wrote:(31-May-2015, 15:54)rwjr44 Wrote:(31-May-2015, 10:56)Stigmater Wrote: I really don't understand one thing, how in such good product the controlling app is so outdated ? No it is the app limitation. Recent versions of iOS version 7 and newer allow for true multitasking Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk RE: -=Aurender=- - rwjr44 - 01-Jun-2015 (31-May-2015, 19:21)Stigmater Wrote:(31-May-2015, 15:54)rwjr44 Wrote:(31-May-2015, 10:56)Stigmater Wrote: I really don't understand one thing, how in such good product the controlling app is so outdated ? It is a nuisance having to recover your last position. I'm fine with the design, for now. RE: -=Aurender=- - samurai7595 - 02-Jun-2015 Has anyone auditioned or own the all new Aurender N100H? If so, what were/are your impressions? RE: -=Aurender=- - kenreau - 02-Jun-2015 Does anyone have any idea if Aurender intends to adopt the new Roon Labs interface? I bought the S10 with the intention of dropping the mac mini out of the music server system, but am really impressed with all the Roon functionality. If Aurender would adopt Roon, I think that would be awesome. Thx Kenreau RE: -=Aurender=- - rwjr44 - 02-Jun-2015 (02-Jun-2015, 19:03)samurai7595 Wrote: Has anyone auditioned or own the all new Aurender N100H? There is a person over at Computer Audiophile that has one. He/She posted in one of the Aurender threads in http://www.computeraudiophile.com/f10-music-servers/ RE: -=Aurender=- - rwjr44 - 02-Jun-2015 (02-Jun-2015, 19:24)kenreau Wrote: Does anyone have any idea if Aurender intends to adopt the new Roon Labs interface? They have a non-disclosure agreement with Roon. That is all they would say. RE: -=Aurender=- - kenreau - 03-Jun-2015 Fwiw, I posted this question over at C.A. from Chriss' Newport show report noting all the manufacturers using Aurender appliances. (Me) Regarding Aurender, was there any mention of them adopting the Roon labs interface? Chris's reply; Yes, they will support Roon as an endpoint (Roon Speakers). I'm not yet knowledgible on how Roon works, but I had hopes it would be used as part of the Aurenders OS interface and not require a separate outboard computer to run Roon server. Can someone explain if the endpoint/Roon speaker methodology operates that way? I have the N100 which has been breaking in for the past month. Takes a little while to open up but worth the wait. Absolutely love it. The build quality, stability, convenience and iPad app are excellent. Use Wireworld Starlight USB cable and AQ cinnamon Ethernet cable. So nice to walk in the room and be listening to music within seconds from my iPad. Only complaint I have is that, in my system, it does seem to give up a little separation and detail compared to using Air Ethernet from my fully optimized 2009 Mac Mini with custom power supply. It has more of a laid back/relaxed sound. Believe others have reported that it does have better sound than air Ethernet but in my system and to my ears it does not. However, the convenience and user interface is sooooooooo much better than using the Mac with Air Ethernet. So I'm keeping both for now. One for convenience and one for critical listening....or showing off to guests what incredible sound the devialet can produce over air Ethernet. It replaced an Auralic Aries, that I really hate to say it just flat out smokes.. Setup was easy, build quality is great and honestly I think it's really good value.. Only $200.00 more for the "H" with internal 2tb HDD.. LOVE IT! |
