I have set up a Mac mini to using AIR to my D200. It sounds great and I am not having white noise, etc. However, I really don't like the Apple Remote app on my ipad. The JRiver Media Center ipad app is great. . . however, there is a noticeable difference in the sound quality. JRiver sounds good but Itunes sounds great. . this is espcially true with high def files. Regular CD rips do sound better via Itunes but the difference is smaller.
So. . .I am hoping there are some settings in Jriver that can improve the sound quality? I have searched the Jriver threads and did not find settings related to quality of music.
Note that when I check the streaming rate of ITunes it is at 192 or 96, etc. . .whatever my source is. Jriver always shows up as 44.1 so I think it is modifying the stream in some way.
Any ideas?
