That's not Elio De Angelis in your profile pic is it? Just a bit of idle wondering on my part. By the way, I am aware that you must be a different Elio, considering the great man himself passed away in the 80's.

Anyway, back on topic! A very neat but purposeful looking system, impressive, and good to see another vinyl user on here. How do you find the Benz cartridge? I have read many good things about them, never actually heard one though.

Yes, it is Elio De Angelis driving Braham BT55 in the picture.  We, Chinese, born wih Chinese name only so when we grow up, we wll pick a Western name.   I pick the name Elio when De Angelis was still driving for Lotus.

Thanks for your compliment.  It is my second Benz cartridge and I like its house sound, good for Jazz and vocal.

I must admit that I particularly like the "isolation platform" below the streamer. I presume this is constructed using the latest (and very expensive) unidirectional carbon nanotube technology? Or maybe it's a slice of left-over carpet underlay?

Considerable improvement in almost every aspect.  Soundstage is winder and deeper, vocal is more vivid, bass improves not only in quantity but also in quality.

I would say it falls between the 2 materials you suggested but more incline to the former....  No, it is a Aluminum honeycomb sandwiched by 2 fiberglass laminates.  A rather old technology when compare to nanotube carbon.
