Preout set to OFF upon power up
#1
With the latest configurator, it seems that I have problem turning off the preout upon power up. In the Config setting, I have unchecked the Sub/Preout and yet every time my system power up, my preout is still ON. Anyone knows how to fix this?

from what I can tell with my resent investigations
you have the option to check the box in the config settings and this will set the preout ON by default each time you power up your system
or if you uncheck the box in the config then it will keep the setting you had when you powered down last
ie if you had it set to OFF it will remain OFF

It could just be a glitch. Try to re-do your config from scratch.

I think tyefighter is right. I have Sub/Preout unchecked and power-off with preout being OFF. Powering on again, preout is indeed stayed OFF.

This is really dumb.

Thanks, guys. Problem is resolved [though with a kludge.]

with the Sub/Preout unchecked - the dp_cfg.txt has code that reads "_filt_opcode":0,
while when Sub/Preout is checked - the dp_cfg.txt has code that reads "_filt_opcode":20,

the value change I'm assuming is responsible for resetting the Sub/Preout to ON upon reboot
maybe there is a value that could reset to OFF ...may its worth asking Devialet support?
