speaker cables
#1
I could not find a specific thread covering this, so I thought I would start one.

What speaker cables are you using with Devailet and what do you like about them? What was your journey?

My own experience with speaker cables many years ago was a preference for Audio Note Japan (Kondo) silver cables. Much better than anything else around at that time.

Tellerium Q black .......I like them because they join my Devialet 200 to my speakers :-)
Maybe it is my ears but I really struggle to hear a difference when I have briefly experimented with speaker cables.
I am always willing to try different things though......as long as it is a free trail.

When I evaluated speaker cables many years ago the only ones sounding different were MIT with filter boxes on them. All the others sounded the same to me.
This may have been expectation bias, since I know of no sound (Smile) reason why non-eccentric speaker cables should sound different to each other.

I do own some quite expensive nice looking cables but the 2 sets of speakers I use are have relatively ordinary specialist speaker cables with banana plugs. The first are traditional speaker cable which was a tad under £20 from ebay and the other are waxed cotton insulated single strand identical to that inside the speakers.

I'm using Atlas Cables Mavros speaker cables and digital cables.

As a reviewer put it: "The Atlas Mavros cables have the uncanny ability to sound fast yet relaxed, detailed yet refined, fluid yet composed. They produce a natural perspective on music, sounding authoritative and open, offering fine insight without appearing clinically detailed."

I completely agree! Smile

I stand corrected. Did not come up in search. Thanks.
