going into the +'s re vol control
#1
Dirac imposes a minimum of a -6db to -10db cut in the digital signal going to my D premier
I have a large room , like my music loud.
So what happens is that on lower recorded material , I am often as high as +7 on the vol control.
The little dots on the display are in the "orange" zone.

What I wonder is whether the devialet is actually adding digital gain at levels above 0 on the display

I've wondered about that as well, but my best guess is unless you are feeding it the max supported internal bit depth you are OK as it has more bits to play with, and I think it's internal bit depth is more than the supported 32 bit max input depth.

It is indeed applying digital gain above 0.0dB.
