Why does Roon sound better?
#1
To my ears Roon definitely improves the sound of my Antipodes. Mark Jenkins who owns Antipodes also thinks it sounds noticeably better than the SQLite interface. If Roon sounds better -- I know this is an if -- why does it sound better? If this is addressed on another thread sorry for the repetition and feel free to delete.
SYSTEM 1:Grimm MU-1 running Roon Server & Ready//Grimm TPM//GRIMM LS1be
SYSTEM 2: Antipodes DX Roon Server// MiniDSP// Grimm TPM// Dutch & Dutch 8C

Non scientific but possible reason is a reduction in network traffic. J river is quite network resource heavy, Roon less so. Similar to melco using minim vs  twonky server. Just a hunch.
