No mention of replacement for 250.

The D-Premier/250 live on as dual monos in the 1000 Pro and Original d'Atelier. The upgrade info so far makes those that skipped the upgrade from D-Premier to 240 the winners! They can go directly to a 250 Pro for €3490.- We who did the upgrade to 240 and paid €3500 will have to pay the same amount once more to get to the new 250 Pro, it seems.

As a D200 owner the choice I now face is whether to upgrade to a D400 for €5,600 ( or perhaps 15% less) or upgrade to a D220 pro for €3,490. My guess is that moving to a D400 would be better value for money. I think double the power would trump the gains touted for the D220 pro.

There is no mention of an upgrade 'window', at least yet, so you can probably wait until the first reports come on the 220 Pro and still have time to make up your mind.

I already like it Smile. for a guy with 120 my speakers are starving ... Smile.

Can anyone clarify the meaning of 2 x 220, does this mean two set of power amps inside the same block ? (seems like). I also like the Pre-amp output which i wanted to upgrade couple of months ago.

I've not seen that initial issue clarified by Devialet.

Whilst one could go from a 250 to an 800 by the addition of a 250 companion, I've not seen it stated that one can go from a 250 Pro to a 1000 Pro by the addition of a 250 Pro companion (which I am not sure exists).

That the 250 remains as a 250 Pro rather than changes to a 300 Pro (or whatever) makes me think that the work done on the OdA and 1000 Pro power supply and thermal management has not been replicated in the 250 Pro. Indeed you can upgrade a 200 to a 220 Pro and a 250 to a 250 Pro for the same price (£2,990) - suggesting that no additional money is being allocated to a potentially better power supply and thermal management in the latter unit.

I was expecting they would reveal what they have done on Class-A amp on the their website. If I remember, Class-A power has been upgraded by 3 times (not sure if i remember 5times) which is very good thing because, it strengthens the signals, where signals hops from chip to chip resulting in Si Integrity issues. Now with higher currents, the signal Integrity will be maintained (/ not compromised) - Good Job D!.

Have a copy of the July 2016 price list from D customer support and they do show a 250 companion on the list.

The upgrade price for a single unit is US $4590 but in Europe 3490Euros which presently equates $3840. What is the reason to charge US customers $750 more? Also I payed $4795 to upgrade my D-Premier to 250 status which essential did not give me any real benefit as I can not use SAM (using digital crossover function) and instead of USB and Ethernet inputs an USB to SPDIF/AES converter would have given me better sound for less money!
I have not seen any clear indication whether the server board to come out next year is included or will be extra. What means: "New architecture supporting Devialet OS in 2017"?
