Speaker survey? Could we? How?
#1
I dunno if this has already been done, but I did wonder if anyone has tried to put together a survey on speakers being used for the diffewrent 'expert/pro' setups?

Think it would be quite interesting to see how this pans out?....

EG.

D170

speaker name 1 - number of members using
speaker name 2 - number of members using

D200

D400

D800

and now the pros

etc etc...

I guess there's a lot of data already in the 'list your speakers and Dev model' thread.

someone with enough enthusiasm could probably collate all that data into some sort of summary/chart. There's so many out there my guess it would be a very long list containing only a few numbers with some more common makes/models into maybe double digits?

One thing I have noticed is just how incredibly large the verity of speakers is amongst Devialet owners.

This is good, as it does indicate that a Devialet will partner most speakers well.

It could be done, but only by someone with a lot of free time!

I've often thought that that speaker thread would be a lot more useful if it could be turned into a link to a shareable, on-line database.  Something like Airtable, perhaps.  It would truly be a labour of love to do it retrospectively, though!
