Just reporting back.
I did install AIR3 beta and I tested it for a couple of hours just to make sure it was working on my system without issues. Then I installed Roon and used baddog settings that worked straight away.
I tried different songs at different resolution and all played fine and the D-250 showed the correct resolution on the display. Unluckily due to time constraint I was only able to have approx an hour of continuous playing. I hope to have more time this weekend to evaluate things on more extensive play time, and test Tidal as well.
Now I am having a bit of fight with Roon's metadata, that in my opinion are a bit of a weak spot. But that is another story...
