new slim IEC for Devialet
#1
I accidentally came across that new slim IEC specifically designed for Devialet and similar applications: http://www.furutech.com/2016/11/07/13975/  gold plated and http://www.furutech.com/2016/11/07/13978/ Rhodium plated. No idea about their sound quality

Nice to see a low profile IEC that really fits under the cover. I have tried the FI-15E and that almost fits under the cover so this must be a perfect match for Devialet.

Agree with Guillaume, 12 AWG is not enough?

Shunyata does not sell any of their connectors! Wanted to buy the 20a IEC plug for the Denali I just ordered and they just to refused to sell it to me despite the fact I just placed an order worth 4k.

I in person find this intresting as some say that 12AWG is not enough this is almost 3.5sqmm a normal home in Sweden has 1.5sqmm with 10A fuse in a normal outlet. If you dont have a custom powersupply to the hifi what benefit of having more than 3.5sqmm will this give, if you plug it in a normal outlet in your house?

I have a 10sqmm power supply all the way from the powercompanys meterbox to my rack and I have tried out different powercables and have found the guage of the cables to play very little roll in the sound more the quality of the connectors and how the cable is made have made a bigger difference to the sound.

This is purley my thougts so dont go bananas over me questioning the need for more than 3.5sqmm for a single Devialet amps powercable that is perhaps around 1m long.....to me the quality of the cable and connector is more important than the guage.

Don't you need a IEC 19 connector? Plenty of them for sale on Amazon etc.

Or buy a Venom HC, not exactly silly money?
