WBT-0644 banana plugs too large for 200?
#1
Greetings.
I'm a new owner of a Devialet 200. My speakers are terminated with locking WBT-0644 banana plugs. As I try to plug them directly into the speaker inputs, they don't fit into the centered circumference of the 200 speaker terminals. I've pushed very firmly, straight inwards, to the point of stopping as I don't want to break the terminals or bananas. Seems like a no-brainer, as they've plugged into a variety of previous amplifiers. I don't get it...

Am I missing something obvious? Is there a method to plug these locking WBT-0644 banana plugs into my D200?

Thanks in advance,
Musically, Ken

Could it be something as obvious as the sleeve not being screwed undone enough (back towards the cable) ?, meaning that the banana pin is expanded.

Screwing the sleeve towards the pin activates the expansion mechanism.

Or has an expanded state taken permanent hold, in which case you may need to carefully, with some appropriate pliers, bend the individual elements back into an unexpanded state.

Good luck.

Thanks Gray,
I re-tightened them carefully with pliers.
Surgery was successful.
