I have a pair of golds and considering upgrading from DOS1 to DOS2. Is it safe and beneficial to do it yet?

Is there also a different sound profile to the system after upgrading?

Yes, it is safe to upgrade.

You no longer need the heat radiator, otherwise known as the Dialog, for stereo pairing, and one less Ethernet cable. Found the web interface to be useful. Just as a reminder on differences:

Found DOS2 to be maybe slightly better ** sound wise** , but obviously could not compare side by side.

Much better software, more reliable connection, better sound in my opinion, and a convenient option for joining two pairs of phantom to play in two different rooms simultaneously. Seamless integration with spotify connect.
