Phantom and TV optical out

Im considering buying a pair of golds. I've tested a pair in store and absolutely love the sound through Bluetooth via my samsung music player (with equaliser) over the wifi Spark app (without an equaliser). I'm just worried about support and longevity. I'm worried they will stop working after the warranty expires and then I'm stuck with a broken speaker that can't be fixed.

What has your phantom experience been like?
