Roon and Mutec setup
#11
Unfortunately, direct ethernet connection, I'm getting instability.  Lots of crackles and pauses every few seconds.

I suspect it may be do with my setup as there are ones here whom are having successful roon air set up.

In my case, it's a PC (which is connected to internet wifi) has 1 ethernet cable connected directly to a Devialet 250 pro (with CI board).  Fixed IP as per recommended settings.
There are probably a few variables (PC being a complicated device in itself) which may be causing such instability...  The roon signal path shows all purple though.

My Roon is Rock stable over Wifi. I get it, it depends on router and environment (free of other WiFis) quality. It was similar when over Ethernet. Both connections through Apple Airbase Extreme that supposedly is poor router. So if one gets dropouts, then there is a fault somewhere. Maybe card in Devialet, maybe router or just noisy environment.

PS. Best quality I ever got from Devialet was direct WiFi from iPhone. With “old” d200 and “new” d220.
