Site issues

Sorry for the downtime from around 20:30 for an hour and a half or so.  The server decided to crash and completely trashed the database.  All is good but restored from this afternoon (around 16:00 BST) so there will be some missing comments from then until now.  Many apologies.

Seems some wonkyness yet. Links aren't showing in this new post I made, if I edit I seem them. Example the link 2 lines below isn't visible to me.

Smilies on the left side when editing a post are missing. Images in older posts are also missing.

Looks better now.

I just noticed "Mark Forums as Read" has disappeared from the bottom of the forum main page, not sure when that happened.

Thanks for that pointer. I never even knew it existed, but it's a feature I use a lot elsewhere. Now I can do it on DC too!

Great spot Dr Tone! That was very useful. With any luck all should be OK now.

Yes indeed - Good work Rufus, thanks!

In fact, knowing just how much hassle it can be sorting out IT issues such as this reminded me of this old thread from last year.  Some newer members may not be aware, so I thought it might be worth giving a 'bump'. Wink

That was quite a crash we had last night. Well done to Rufus for sorting this out, I know this was a big job!
