It was released today though so I hope to receive it tomorrow, I have to pay €22,44 in customs duties etc.

I am waiting for my Amber upgrade board. Seems I will have to wait until July to get it. I am not among the 30 (or is it 35) first to receive my Amber this week. Very good to see that cc1 is enjoying his Regen. Looking forward to compare the new Amber to the one I have.

I know I'm not too active on the forum but I do find it a great resource of knowledge, recommendations and tips - thanks guys!

Cheers Antoine. I hope you enjoy your Regen -  I have feeling there are a number of people waiting to hear it sounds with a dedicated USB card!
Yes, this forum is amazing !!!!

Does someone have a picture of the back of the Devialet with the regen plugged to see how much space is required ?

Thanks Wink

A quick pic. It sits a fair bit out as you can see and is quite wide
Thanks for the quick update !
It's very important for me as my wife is looking for new furniture/cabinet Wink

Also I'm not sure if using the short USB cable supplied may impact the SQ ?
How does the d-Fi match devialet and the regen?

Not sure what unit you have but with the 200 the Regen is almost flush to the back of the Dev with the lid on. This pic might help you more.

I did try the supplied short usb cable and I felt it did have a negative impact on the sound. Perhaps with burning in it might improve but if you look over at the CA forum the designer and the users pretty much all say to use the adaptor for best SQ.

Hi Warpeon

I bought the d-Fi DD about a year ago when I bought the Devialet as initially I was struggling with Air Wifi. In the last year I've hardly used it but with the Regen I feel I can finally move away from Air and gain sound quality as well as reliability. At the time I looked around at a few reviews as didn't have a clue which USB cable to get. I compared it with the Chord Signature and for me the Vertere was the clear winner and at about half the price I plumped for it. It's a very open, fast sounding cable but neutral imho. I know some will prefer a slightly warmer presentation. The cable of choice seems to be the Totaldac but I haven't heard that.
I received my Regen last Friday but so far am not impressed by it. It could be it isn't able to improve much more on an already heavily optimized system but I'm not judging yet as I'm also still suffering a bit from the effects of hay fever.

Opened a topic on the JPlay/JCAT forum to see if there's other JCAT users who own a Regen. http://jplay.eu/forum/index.php?/topic/1...one-audio/
Inserting Antoine. I wonder how much is due to the filtering in Totaldac USB cable too though others appear to have reported improvements heard using that cable with the Regen so possibly not the case and probably the JCAT optimisation nullifies the advantages of the Regen somewhat. I'm still waiting for someone with a Melco to try the Regen. I don't really want to be the first!
Rufus - you'd be welcome to borrow my Regen if you're out in Surrey at some point
