Deep Purple - Made in Japan, is there a better live album than this. My uncle bought this for me when I was about 11 years old.

"Covered" from friend 'n fellow (CD rip). The attack of the guitar notes and her voice is of special mention. Very carefully recorded!

I know he wasn't in the band when Made In Japan was made but Don Airey lives just up the road from us and plays occasional gigs in our local pub.  Terrific live music Smile

Machine Head is one of my 7 year old son's favourite albums and I like it too. Listening in the car on the school run certainly wakes you up in the morning.

I have always felt that the best sound quality I get at home is from Radio 3 broadcasts which implies the most important aspect is microphone choice and positioning since the distribution to the transmitters is 32kHz digital...
