Tonight I re-visited an album gifted to me at release back in the late eighties.
Tracy Chapman, Tracy Chapman, released 88.
Still has, imho, the x-factor that lifts it out of its time, and leaves it a modern day classic.

Love this album!  I've got lots of pieces featuring Trilok Gurtu and think he's one of the best percussionists out there.
Right now listen the album // Dead Can Dance title into the Labyrinth

You might like to give "Miles Gurtu" a spin if you don't know it already - that's a great album too. It's on Qobuz, maybe elsewhere as well.
