Space Oddity (Tony Visconti 2019 Mix)

50th Anniversary Edition: Brand new mix of the Space Oddity (aka David Bowie) album by longtime Bowie producer/collaborator Tony Visconti, including the track Conversation Piece which was omitted from the original album.

Of the 2019 Space Oddity album mix Visconti says “It was so much fun to find hidden gems of musicianship with more time to mix the second time around, a guitar twiddle here, a trombone blast there, Marc Bolan’s voice in a group choir and more detail in general that we overlooked all those years ago when the label gave us a week at the most to mix this album. And in the details you will find 22 year old David Bowie, who would soon take the world by storm."

Way Down In The Rust Bucket (Live)

Neil Young & Crazy Horse

Neil Young has announced the release of Way Down in the Rust Bucket, a previously completely unreleased live album plus concert film documenting a legendary show with Crazy Horse in Santa Cruz, California.  Way Down in the Rust Bucket, which will be released on February 26, 2021, contains the majority of the songs by Ragged Glory from 1990, which Young played here for the first time in public.

After recording Ragged Glory at Broken Arrow Ranch in the spring of 1990 and releasing them in September of that year, Young and Crazy Horse took the stage at The Catalyst in Santa Cruz on November 13th to release the songs to a live audience for the first time.  In true crazy horse fashion, the inflammatory show spanned three sets and over three hours, with songs like "Love and Only Love" and "Like a Hurricane" spanning over ten mesmerizing minutes.  The gig at The Catalyst also marked the first time that “Danger Bird” - a song from Young's 1975 album Zuma - was played in front of a live audience and poured out in psychedelic six-string fireworks.  Other Way Down in the Rust Bucket Live premieres of the evening include “Surfer Joe and Moe the Sleaze”, “Love to Burn”, “Farmer John”, “Over and Over”, “Fuckin 'Up”, “Mansion on  the Hill ”and“ Love and Only Love ”.
