That's why I've always held onto my LP12... Happily the colourations are faithfully reproduced by the Devialet

Quite so! I think the Devialet is completely transparent, so the colour of any front end component we wish to indulge ourselves in comes through perfectly.
That is certainly my experience of everything I have tried over the last 3 years anyway.
