I'm still exploring the prog/metal thread...and like this one very much.
Porcupine Tree "Deadwing", via Qobuz.

More prog/metal.  Not my normal Sunday morning fare, but enjoying it very much nonetheless!
Daft Punk "Homework" - Not quite 180g double 12" vinyl.

I guess it's taken me a while to get 'round to hearing this one. Although I am familiar with many of Daft Punk's annoyingly catchy chart hits, this was a pleasant surprise. With many echo's from the UK's early 90's club scene, which I guess were a direct influence. Well recorded in comparison to the normal standards for this type of stuff and a good listen all the way through.
A CD beginning with Beethoven's Egmont overture and finishing with Schubert's 8th Symphony. From the Decca Vienna Philharmonic boxed set.
Great natural sound quality. Recorded in 1969.

Rock opera as best as it can be!
