if you have a dedicated ring installed to power only your hifi equipment, then go directly for the wall plug, otherwise a high quality power conditioner would be better.

My experience is that even with a dedicated power feed, the need for power conditioning is still there.

I use a Supra Cables Mains Block MD-06US/SP... seems to work great and offers good protection. I also have a dedicated 20A line for my audio gear; I'm sure that helps as well.

Sorry, my answer is it depends. I have a direct spur and tried several power conditioning. Some sucked the life out of Devialet, some improved. What I have now are simple ones - a MIT z duplex (the basic version, the super version sucked the life out of d) and the lessloss firewall module v2 (the wooden box version). Won't list what didn't work.

I tried PS AUDIO 5 but i sole it back. Then i tried Nordost ( Valhalla, QB8, Fry) and it whas a very important difference especially the spacialisation.

I have a dedicated 20 amp breaker but it is two phase because I use a Torus RM 20( true balanced from the panel), balanced power conditioner.
I use 10 feet of DH Labs Red wave power cable from the 20 amp split breaker( 120/120)from the breaker and panel to the Torus using a 20 amp Furutech plug.So there is no extra outlet box ( GTX) or power cord needed in this configuration.The Devialet is plugged into the Torus with Shunyata Delta NR 2 power cord.
The cd player and turntable are also plugged into the Torus.
The Torus has a ground pin.I attach ground wires from the Turntable, Devialet and cd player to the Torus and one ground wire from the Torus back to the panel's ground wire.The power cord from the breaker to the panel has 2 live runs,120/120 in full balanced mode and  the third ground wire from this DH Lab power wire is connected to the ground bus bar on the panel.
No noise anywhere, anytime, day or night. I also use 2 Nordost QV2 and Nordost QK1
 The are only two breaks in the power from the panel to the Devialet.
One is the 20 amp plug into the Torus and the other is the power cord to the Devialet.

To immediately lift your setup to the next level try a Audioquest Niagara 3000 / 5000. really amazing.
Also recommended to use a dedicated wall socket by Furutech.

According what I read on others forum, you started with an Audioquest Niagara 1200 which was already a great improvement?

Noticeable difference for the better as soon as I plugged my 220s and sources in to it.

In my case the result was very unexpected with the 1200: a very "fat" and too bold sound.
The idea was to soften the sound a bit, but the result was too much for my taste. I loose all the "air" and a lot of the detail characteristic of the Dev.
It was a pity, a disappointment for me, but I need to try something else in a near future.

A pleasant surprise was the NRG Z3. A jump up for the price.
