Not sure if you have looked at the Win10 and Air thread but lots of us are finding that if we upgrade to Windows 10 and keep the same version of AIR installed that all the stuttering sound and white noise errors disappear. This tends to point at the problem on Microsoft machines at least being an OS problem and not an AIR problem.

I get popping noises that start after 20 minutes or so playing a ripped CD over Ethernet Air into Devialet 120. I haven't tried playing any higher quality recordings. My PC is running Win 10 Pro 64bit.

what is your network set up like?
"but things like sam not applying - theres probably more to the story. being a tradesman that used to do maintenance taught me one thing. what you are told is never 100% correct. "

If I can just take this opportunity to reply, thanks for your opinion. What I have stated is 100% correct, when SAM is on only the companion works, when turned off, both channels work fine.

Devialet have asked me for my config file which I have sent them. I was asking for either solutions or advice from this forum (I thought that was one of it's primary functions) not some unfounded assumptions.
actually i asked for a screenshot of the configurator.

after that i was going to ask for the config files as i can read them.

The version of Air I have installed on my PC is 2.1.4-beta4. The PC and Dev120 were both cabled into a TPLink N600 router, which provides access to my VirginMedia cable internet service.

1. What music player are you using?
2. Were you using any other application(s) beside your music player on your PC?

What is the AIR buffer size set? And, what is your PC's configuration; ie. CPU speed and memory?
