Ok this may be a little presumptious, but for the last month I have had no dropouts with AIR.

I have to have the lap top in the same room as the router, so it appears that for me the router was the issue, because as soon as I move the laptop back to the other room then the white noise reoccurs. This is not ideal but for the last month when i have wanted to listen to music I just move my lap top into the room with the router and hifi set up. I have now done this for a month or so and have listened to music for between one and say three hours without a single white noise issue. Granted I have not used high res files as I didnt want to push my luck.

I know most people who have had the white noise issues will have tried almost everything, but the above has worked for me so it may help one or two out there who have not tried this.
Hello Womaz,

That's interesting, because if I read your post correctly it suggests that the problems you've been experiencing are related to the path between your laptop and the router, rather than between the router and the 200.

Anyway, good to hear that you have been able to get it working reliably in your set-up.

Yes it appears to be that. Very strange. Also I guess it is early days but been about 15 days at 1 to 3 hours per day without any issues.
I still have to use the CD player if I am at work in my office/kitchen as I use the lap top for work. But at least it means that when i want to just sit and listen to music I can just put the lap top in the same room as the router and BINGO! It appears to work.

Still hope Dialog is the long term answer though as keen to get laptop out of music playback all together in time.
Good to hear your AIR issue is finally sorted out.
Until tonight when I put some high res music on.......I got approximately 3 minutes Smile Smile

That can be further improved upon by wiring your music source through Ethernet. It's not practical to stream high res over WiFi.
This was using Ethernet, my NAS is connected by ethernet cable to the 200

I know that some people have problems streaming hires files over wifi but it works perfectly for me Wink
I have problems streaming hi Res files over Ethernet , therefore in 7 months since I got my 200 I have been unable to listen to any high Res music I had
I say "had" , I actually still have them I am just unable to play them . My biggest disappointment since getting the 200
