I have not heard anything lately on the geographical progress of this traveling  tour.  Can anyone provide some info on this?  Much appreciated!

Cheers.

Did they measure the Sasha 2?!

Guillaume
Interesting question Guillaume.  When I spoke to Mathieu Pernod at the Phantom launch about my SAM 2 problems, he suggested that it would be a good idea to get the Blades SAM Lab'ed when on tour in the UK.  However, in very recent correspondence with Deavialet support, when I asked if it would be of benefit to to do this, the response was no, as follows:

"Measurements between V1 and SAM LAB (or V2) are the same.

SAM LAB has been designed to be as accurate and reliable as the measuring laboratory equipment.
More than 230 speakers have been sammed V1 in the laboratory. All speaker profiles were moved in V2 from the original measurements, without considering the V1 profile. So there is no difference between the V2 profile of a sammed speaker in our laboratory and the same speaker with the SAM LAB."

So I'm still unclear on this one, and I would love to hear the experience of any one who has migrated from a converted SAM 1 profile running in SAM 2, to it's SAM'ed lab equivalent.  Are they really the same?

I dont know, if you email to Robert at Audio concept you can tell them to do it. I have asked in another thread on Swedish Hififorum if the Sasha 2 are meausured with SAM Lab at Audio concept.

Thanks Confused. My understanding from speaking to a Devialet dealer is that there are quite a few manual processes involved in creating a SAM profile and that therefore there might be a possibility of human error in creating SAM profiles, or at least variability in results. That coupled with Mathieu's comment makes me keen to have the Sasha 2 remeasured, and ideally mine! Wink

Guillaume
So how would this work? lets say you have a SAM profile on the Devialet website / configurator (as the Sasha's, Blade and many others currently do), and then a SAM Lab profile is produced, either for you own personal actual speakers, or maybe the equivalent model stocked at the dealer hosting SAM Lab, maybe someone else's equivalent speaker. You are setting up your configuration cards, the "official" profile can be selected in the configurator. But how do you get SAM lab'ed profiles loaded? These could be your own, someone else's, ones done at a dealers etc., but only that "original" profile from the configurator can be selected. I'm assuming that as people get their speakers SAM Lab'ed, models not previously "SAM ready", these new profiles are added to the configurator pull down list for all owners to select, but what about any "alternative" profiles?
