My lovely wife accidentely 'touched' one Phantom while vacuuming the house...  I am affraid it was a little more than just touching Angel , but OK.... We all make mistakes every now and then. Could have happened to me either.

The result is one damaged woofer-disc with three scars: a very small dent, a very small scratch and a very visible bigger dent. Sad

Only good thing is that Phantom is still working properly and soundquality seems not affected. So it seems only visual damage.
Any suggestions on how to deal with this damage?
Please update. I'm curious about their support. Thanks.
1st update

I already contacted a car bodywork repair shop. They do little dents in car doors and such. But the response I got was not very promising: too close to the edge.

Probably it is covered by my creditcard. They state I have 180 days of purchase protection for items paid with the card. This Phantom is less than one month old Confused

I will keep you all updated.
Car bodywork repair shop?? Good grief, are you serious? They will surely be set up to repair delicate woofer cones - rip it out, bang it out with a hammer, bit of filler and a quick flash of paint, then stuff it back on!

The idea was to apply a vacuum to the dent and suck it back out. Definitely not to fill it up, that would obviously not work out and probably bring an imbalance to the whole thing. Huh
Besides, I doubt whether it is even possible to take it out since it is pressed with over a ton of pressure.

Either way, these things are definitely high-tech!

My point exactly. Only Devialet can sort this out.
interessting to know about replacement parts/repairs from Devialet, as I am sure there will be many more cases of dented woofers, they are quite fragile.
As long as the driver motor was not misaligned in the fall this sort of damage will not be audible, as you mention, just cosmetic.
Since the accident was you wife's doing, not a defect in the Phantom, I would be surprised if Devialet have any obligation to replace anything FOC, and it would presumably be fraud to return the damaged unit and reclaim the money from the credit card company, depending on which country you are in.
I think you are either going to have to pay for a repair (doesn't your house contents insurance cover accidental damage?) put up with the cosmetic damage whilst enjoying listening, or hope Devialet do a goodwill jesture...
I am not planning on fraud or anything. That's not who I am. So I will ask the creditcard company about their exact policies. Insurance policy states that all purchases are covered for any damage for 6 months. So I have good hopes. Case is simple. Wife was vacuuming and (in all her enthousiasm) she hit Phantom by accident. maybe it is covered, maybe not.

Good thing is that soundquality is not affected. Although Phantom looks like a crippled pirate to me.
