You're from the North East? You guys don't know how to pronounce anything?
One hifi dealer told me "it's DVLA, like the guys in Swansea". This is probably good enough for the average Englishman, although I think the correct answer is more like DuVLA?
Any Frenchman out there to put the idiotic Englishmen right on this one?
I always pronounce it 'Dev ee ah lay' because it sounds more French. No-one else (including French speakers) seem to pronounce it like that though.
Well I have a few but try to stick with Der-val-yay. In my Geordie accent of course ;-)

I've gone for 'div-ya-lay', kinda like it, when I say it quickly in ma Scots accent!
I think were are all in desperate need for input from a native French speaker here .......
