Hi people, 

I´m waiting one  Silver , One regular Phantom plus 1 remote and a dialoge unit.
I´ve been a 200 user before , my preference was J-river +USB + Dev. 200 . 

Before the Phantoms arrive , the Spark app. is installed on my Mac Mini but can´t use it without a Phantom ( of course). 
So I beg you can help with this questions : 
-Does the Spark replaces J-River 8 or similar programs)  or work with it? 

-Does the spark accept native  DSD , 192 or 96 files?  

-Do you need the external volume control or the Spark Volume is enough? 

-Does the Sark Volume loose resolution?

No DSD
Yes to 96 and 192 although some users have issues I think network dependent
volume is controlled via spark or remote

Maybe dialog USB will be enabled at some stage in that case you could go jriver on mac mini to dialog and control the Mac mini remotely ie use it as a dumb terminal. I've successfully "staged" a MacBook through an oppo with jriver to a dialog and stereo pair of phantoms. Jury's still out on whether the DAC in a phantom will handle a DSD or DoP stream in the future; I'm not convinced...
