It seems that Devialet are satisfied with the way things are at the moment. I asked them if there was any new releases in the making, but there was nothing that they knew of at the moment. Was hoping that they would be a bit more stressed about getting the software and frimware bugs sorted and maybe, just maybe implement Spotify in Spark. That is the only streaming service i use.

Has anyone else got any other information about future progress at Devialet?
ok, so its time for me to ask for a return label. I bought them with airplay and spotify connect implementation promise.
Where are them?
Yes, I WANT spotify too. And bug fix.

I want to have internet radio by using spark
Internet radio is announced , but I badly need UPNP to play Flac from my NAS.MP3 from my Android-Phone is not the sound I want to hear.
A lot coming? Coming meaning may 2016? Mak972, will you share more details
I already talked about it. Basically they say DTS support is comming and they will improve a lot the processing delay in order for it to be not noticiable.

......

I know an Airport express is yet another thing to buy but this has several advantages, firstly apple changes the protocols in the OS and in the receiver, so much so that unlicensed AirPlay implementations such as those in Kodi get broken, so if you are Apple end-to-end, the onus is on Apple to maintain stability and reliability.

Bownose, intriguing.  Had not ida.

Quick questions if you don't mind.

1. How does this work. Does your Mac connect to the airport express wirelessly, and can broadcast all the computer sounds to the airport express?  And then airport express output the music via optical to Phantom?

2 Does your description of how airport express work with Windows also?

Thanks!

I don't really subscribe to the Sonos approach which is to shoehorn everything through a unifying app which places the onus of software development on Devialet to keep up with changes,

This isn't just brown nosing, this is the way to go. With so many great music playing apps and library apps out there, why would you wait for Devialet to re-create the wheel with Spark? I pride myself on using Spark for the absolute MINIMUM possible (basically, I only use it to confirm that my phantoms are "on line," get them re-connected again if need be, and setting a baseline volume level.

For everything else, there is AirPlay. Then you have access to all manner of streaming options! Plus, if you have your own music library, you can also play it from a laptop through any library or music app you please just by setting the Mac's audio output appropriately.

This is the way I've been using my Phantoms, and it's been 99% stable and otherwise great. Stability-wise, beats Bluetooth to death. All you need is an Airport Express and a toslink-to-mini Toslink cable.

Forget Spark. Spark will never be anything you want to spend time interacting with.

1. Mac with music on it --> wifi connection --> airport exress --> toslink / minitoslink cable --> Dialog  --> wifi connection --> phantoms

If you only have 1 phantom, the end of the chain is optical connection directly into that phantom

2. I don't know.
