It's my understanding that each Devialet Phantom has a Toslink port and the Devialet Dialogue has a Toslink port & a USB port.

With a Dual Phantom + Single Dialogue setup, can each of the three Toslink ports be used as inputs for various audio components (i.e. turntable, CD player, streamer, etc.)?  If so, what would you recommend as an Analog-to-Toslink adapter to connect a turntable to the Phantoms or Dialogue?

Also, is it true that the USB port on the Dialogue is still not active and may be via a future software update?  If so, what will it be used for?

Sorry for the "dumb" questions but I have no experience with the Phantoms & Dialogue gear...   Sad
You will need an ADC to connect a TT via toslink.

Hello.

You are not the first person asking about the optical inputs.
All three can be used for different components and you can switch between them as you wish by using Spark.
You can also name your inputs i.e. Tv, media center, cd player etc.

For ADC I use a cheap box from a little known manufacturer. Works great, and as far as I know the big companys in Hi-Fi are still not producing this type of equipment anyway.

The USB port will probably be used for PC connection in the future (just a guess).
There are no plans to pass an audio signal into the Dialog USB. It will only be for harmonising the *control* of Expert Line amps and Phantoms into Spark.
And I soooo want them to route each channel of a 5.1 USB audio signal to separate Phantom or Expert Line inputs!
