An other article (in French too):

It's a good news.
Anyone know anything about Xandrie or their likely intentions? I really like what Qobuz have been doing up until now and just hope that Xandrie will invest sufficient funds to ensure the business continues in the same direction, though hopefully more profitably.
That does sound like good news. Fingers crossed that Xandrie can make it work without too many changes to the good things about Qobuz.
Here's another story about Qobuz. They will be available via Google Chromecast.

This works already for several weeks. Qobuz was very fast to add Chromecast to its IOS and I believe also to its Android app. With the sublime subscription you have access to hires streaming of your purchased hires albums. And they play on the Chromecast Audio in hires. However, there are some glitches. Some albums and even some tracks within some albums refuse to play. The tracks do not play consistently. Only when you exit Chromecast then they play on e.g. the IPad. Other albums stream flawlessly. Chromecast Audio is still quite new and suffers from bugs. So after playing 20 or so minutes it gets often unstable and you need to disconnect and reconnect. This might be due to some memory leak/problems due to uncarefully programming. I expect it to become more solid over time. At least it also shows that Google programmers have similar difficulties as Devialet programmers with Spark and Air. Hires streaming seems to be tricky.

The difference being, this device costs $30 and has only just come out, and Google will probably fix their bugs in a month or so…. Big Grin Big Grin Big Grin Big Grin Big Grin

So many new and interesting devices appearing at the moment. A great time to be into computer audio. Well, maybe at the end of the year when everything comes together and stabilises a bit, and Roon just does everything I need to any and all of these new 'endpoints'

I guess the glitches only happen with hires playback (I assume you mean higher resolution than 16/44.1) as I haven't experienced any glitches using Qobuz and Chromecast at all using the Qobuz CD quality service. All the albums that I've tried have played faultlessly and I haven't found any that have refused to play - I love it Smile

Yes, problems start with 24bit and higher than 48k files.
