Have implemented 9.0.1, and find it to be an improvement, especially in the lower mids, which seem to be cleaner and more impactful. Implementing the version change was more complex than I thought, due to a (dumb) user error.
I downloaded 9.0.1 and uneventfully implemented it on both units of the 400, but there was no sound from the companion. After several unsuccessful attempts to solve the problem, I finally ran configurator on both units. Problem solved.
The multilingual instructions contain a reference to running configurator after software loading, but it is not as clear as perhaps it should be for some of us. However, all's well that ends well.
